EJ Garden
The "Potato Patch" was Phase One of our "Digging In The Dirt" project and had been created from the "Healthy Community Development" Mini-Grant award in 2009. This grant has initiated the beginning of a sustainable edible garden as a nutritional intervention to provide an awareness of increased fruit and vegetable consumption.
Plant-based education is cross-curricular and can easily be utilized in nutrition, science, mathematics, language arts, social studies, instructional technology, physical education, art and music.
